Every JagSim account starts with the same $100,000 in virtual money. Rankings shows who has done the most with it: the top three, your own place, the whole table, and the winner of each of the last eight weeks.
The short version: Rankings is JagSim’s leaderboard. It ranks every account by total return since it started with $100,000, for this week, this month and all time, and names the winner of each past week. It is ranked on return alone, with virtual money only.
A leaderboard only means something when everyone plays by the same rules. On JagSim every account starts with $100,000, trades the same real-time prices and fills by the same rules: at the last traded price, with no fees. It is a cash account with no margin and no short selling, and the account has no seasons and no forced reset, so a return builds on everything that came before it. The full rules are on how trading works on JagSim.
| Period | Return measured from |
|---|---|
| This week | Your last saved balance on or before the Sunday before the week began (weeks run Monday to Sunday, New York time) |
| This month | Your last saved balance on or before the last day of the previous month |
| All-time | The $100,000 the account started with |
If you had no saved balance that early, $100,000 is used.
Above the table, Weekly winners names the top trader of each of the last eight weeks, with their return for that week. On your own place, a line counts the weeks in a row you have been ranked.
Your place shows your rank and your return for the period you chose, and the top three traders sit right under it. A trader’s name opens their profile. If you turn on Show your portfolio, your profile also shows what you hold, and Sharing their portfolio narrows the table to traders who have done the same. Sharing is off until you turn it on.
Rankings is a way to measure your practice against the same starting line, not a contest for money. Nobody wins or loses real cash, and a few good weeks on virtual money say nothing certain about real-money results. JagSim is an educational simulator, not a broker and not investment advice.
Yes. Every JagSim account is ranked, on the free plan and on Pro.
Balances are saved about every 15 minutes, and Rankings uses each account’s last saved balance, so everyone is ranked on the same basis. Your own live balance is on Portfolio.
Only if you turn on Show your portfolio. It is off until you do.
No. A market replay runs on its own practice money and never touches your account or Rankings.
No. Rankings uses virtual money only, and no prize is attached to any place or to a weekly win.
